Can you repair my puncture instead of selling me a new tyre?

Puncture repair is the first thing our technician checks. A puncture caused by a nail or road debris, sitting in the central tread area, under 6mm across and with no sidewall damage, is normally a straightforward tyre repair costing around £20. Damage to the shoulder or sidewall cannot be repaired safely, so tyre replacement becomes the only legal option. Tread depth matters too. If the tyre is already close to the 1.6mm legal minimum, a repair buys you very little, and we will tell you that rather than take the money.
